Beth Denney, the student director, is to be commended on her fine job this past year in di- recting the Christmas play and The Storm which was presented as an exchange assembly with Felton, at a P.T.A. meeting, at an assembly at Smyrna School, and at the University of Dela- ware Play Festival where it was reviewed byacrit- ic. Want A Book? The purposes of the Smyrna High School Li- brary Club are to stim- ulate reading interests, to sponsor a greater in- terest among the students in the use of books and in library service, and to improve the library service of the school. The membership of the club is made up of students from grades ten through twelve. This year there are 35 mem- bers. The activities of the club consist of pro- viding book exhibits and displays, desk duty, and other activities concern- ing operation of the li- brary. The members also visited several li- braries in New Castle County. The Library Club was hostto the first State Student Library Club Conference in April.
