Tom Price, David Deakyne, Richard Price, and Paul Loder Leaders' Corps The Leaders' Corps began its year by electing Karl Gebhart to fill the office of president, Fred Corso to assist him as vice- president, and Betty Jean Liefer to carry out the secretarial du- ties. The club also conducted a membership drive which resulted in eleven new members. During the year the Leaders' Corps as- sisted the General Organization in conducting the G. O. voting, the Halloween, Christmas, and Spring Parties. The Leaders' Corps has also proven helpful in decorating for the Football, Christmas, Valentine, and Spring dances. lp . Future Teachers' Club Receives Charter The members of the newly formed Future Teachers of America Club received their charter at a candlelight ceremony during the month of February. FIRST ROW, left to right: Katherine Bulger, Eleanor Phillips, Shirley Darrell, Charlotte Pryor, David Reedy, Ellen Peters. Barbara Akin. and Linda Gonce. SECOND ROW: James Fleming, Sharon Maloney, Doris Slover, Richard Price, Mr. Charles V. Williams. advisor, David Comegys, Miss Virgie Bauer, advisorg Tom Price, Janice Ellingsworth, Audrey Robinson, and Sara Helm. The John Bassett Moore Future Teachers' Club was inaugurated this year to stimulate interest in the teaching profession. The new club under the sponsorship of Mr. Williams and Miss Bauer is a member of the national Future Teachers' Organization. The purpose of the club is to make available to its members all the information possible about the educa- tion and training that teaching requires and the opportunities that it affords. lt is the hope of the club to instruct and cultivate in each member the qualities that make a good teacher. The officers of the club proudly displaying the charter presented them by National Future Teachers' Organization. n Y.
