THE SENIOR CLASS HISTORY The class of 47 enteredSmithv1lle High 1nSeptember 1948 We gradually became acquainted with dear old S H S and looked forward to being great and dignified Seniors so that we might be respected by our lower classmen The next year we became Sophomores that is the largest per cent of us did We lost however, a few of our faithful class to the Freshmen it seemed as if they enjoyed being Freshmen so well, they hated to proceed with the rest of the class at the end of the year we found ourselves one step nearer ou. goal Our third year in High School brought us some new advent ures Again we left a few of our members behind, while others came to us from other towns This year we gave the annual Junior Senior affair In our estimation we gave them the best Now our ambition has been fulfilled for the most of us anyway At last we are The Seniors his year the old school spirit seems to be forging its way back into the hearts of the student body We kept the year filled with actlvltles too numerous to name We had a senior Tommy lnayton, elected as Student Body President We seniors were razzed all year for our talent for securing money for our Seruor trlp after schoolls out We figure that the other classes are just jealous As graduation draws near, our hearts grow sad because we have to leave behind the good old days ' spent in S H S Thus we face tomorrow D v 3 .
