JU l0R and 0PHOMOPtE EXCEL I ALE MA HIP and CLUB WURK Suanne Weimer was awarded honors at the County Fair in fifth year baking last fall. Her white cake won the blue ribbon and Grand Championship there. The same kind of cake won a red ribbon at the State Fair. il -P-SM.. Wallace McConnell won Champion and first in his class awards with his all Scotch Shorthorn Steer in the Monroe County Fair last fall. He also won a shov halter as a prize for the award of showmanship. At the State Fair, the same calf won first place in his class. At the Gold Medal Show in Martinsville he was a- warded second in his class. s

The NATIONAL BETA CHAPTER is a com- paratively new service club with membership open to sophomore, junior, and senior students who come up to certain standards of achie vement, service and character. The club sponsored a delegation to the Beta Convention in Indianapolis this year. Attending were Norma Deckard, Carol Cazee, James Southern, James Taylor, and Mrs. Wisley the sponsor.
