Class Prophecy The class of '55 has been looking toward this day for many months. They are all meeting at the Jim Hohenshil ranch for a class reunion after being out of school for 15 years. Mrs. Hohen- shil CRuth Drakej has worked hard for the last week preparing for the big reunion. Margaret Hostetler, the Home Ec. teacher at Smithville, is helping to prepare the meal for the occa- sion. Ed Graber, the multimillionaire who owns 3000 acres of farm land N.E. of Marshallville, has just arrived in his Cadillac. With him is his housekeeper, Barbara Dickason. Martha Hutchison, interior decorator and Ernie George, a noted artist have decorated the front lawn for the occasion. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Snoddy fBonnie Wagersl and family, who own Smithville Inn, are furnishing the chicken for the dinner. Mary Ann Hahn, head cook at the Inn is going to help serve the dinner. Betty Bogner, nurse at the Akron City Hospital, and Barbara Butzer, a telephone opera- tor in Wooster are out watching the children who are playing ball in the meadow. Dr. and Mrs. Carroll Eggeman are just arriving. Carroll is now a prosperous veterinarian. Following them up the lane are Ronnie Singer, a geologist, who has just returned from a fishing trip in Canada, and Dick Snyder, an ambassador to Pakistan. Nate Yoho, head coach at Bowling Green and Al Wainio, Postmaster in Wooster, are dis- cussing current matters with Paul Steiner, Vocational Ag. teacher, Richard Ratzel, Sec. of Agriculture, and John Jolliff, Wayne County Soil Conservationist. Listening to the conversation are Paul Wertz, a wrestler, commonly known as Powerful Paul the Whiskered Marvel, and also Bill Stetler, his manager. Lying on the glider on the porch, we find Roland Groves, a mattress tester, at his usual occupation, that of sleeping. Under a shade tree, we find Janet Mumaw and Rebecca Hartzler who have just returned from a missionary trip in Africa. They are talking to the Rev. Ralph Smucker, who has a new church located on the edge of Carl Byler's large dairy farm. Carlis farm, along with Mr. and Mrs. John Schrock's CRowena Garmanj dairy farm furnishes the milk for Sunset Dairies in Smithville. Sunset Dairy is co-owned by Roger Ramseyer and Don Zimmerly. Suddenly we hear a blood-curdling scream from the barn. Upon investigation we find that one of Marvin Krabil's sons has fallen through the hay hole. Marvin is the owner of the Pure-Oil Station in Smithville. Close behind him are Maxine Sheets and Carmen Estes, both registered nurses at Cleve- land City Hospital, Also Doctor Don Stuckey comes to see if he could be of any help. 24
