As editor of the 1983 BRAVE Yearbook I would like to thank a marvelous staff, Mr. Norbury, Mr. Cheek, and the many other people who have helped to make these memories possible. SENIORS Senior Prophecy 1983 The class of 83 has decided to finally get together and see who has gotten what they dreamed of in life. Well here it is the year 2003, The Class of 1983 are having their 20th reunion. Oh, by the way, we are at the Oak Tree. First as I look around I see Keith Bohanan and Bill Williams who are now the National Tag Team Champion , Wrestlers. Well look who just walked in, it's Mark Walker (still wearing his dragon slayer hat) and James West (still wearing his gold chains). They are now the town bums, they use their artistic skills to draw graffiti in Smithville. Well look who drove up in a pink Mercedes. Mackey McReynolds and Chuck Mangold.. Mackey shed his cowboy look to become a preppie. And of course Chuck had to copy him. They changed their names to Skip and Dip. Look out everyone this truck has no brakes! Who is that anyway? It's Jerry James and Lyndon Jefferson. They decided to invest all their money in a Reeses Pieces truck. There is Lisa Carter. After being married to a dirt poor pig farmer, she left him to work at the Chicken Plant in Grannis, AR. She has now acquired enough money to get indoor plumbing in her cabin. We have a star in our midst. It’s Mark Goff. He is starring in the remake of E.T. We see he is living up to his character. He is chasing the Reeses Pieces truck. Regina Smith is standing all by herself. When we asked Mark what was wrong, he said that in college her classmates held her at gun point and forced her to take a vow of silence. She hasn't spoken a word since her freshman year. There is a light shining on someone. It's Clifton Vaught. We learned that Chippendales hired him to be the centerfold for the 2003 calendar. We just found out that Larae Eberle got kicked out of college because of wild and obscene behavior in the dorms after curfew time. Shocking isn’t it! Well! There’s Mike Watson and Billy Phillips. It seems that they have taken over Mr. Young’s vo-carp class. Their first project is to rebuild the Local Pub. Where is that loud music coming from? It’s Robyn Risden and her Sony Walkman. It seems she abandoned her husband and children to become a Journey groupie. She devotes her life to Neal Schon. Robyn is now partially deaf because of sitting in the front row seat at the concerts. Spook hasn’t made it yet becasue he is sort of tied up right now. After being married to 100 women at the same time, Brian Hughes is now in prison for bigamy. Since the guards are women he’ll soon get out on “good behavior”. We called and asked him what he was going to do when he got out, all he would say is “Have you ever heard that song ‘Goin’ Huntin’ Tonight’?” Well here comes Rose. She has surprised us all! Mary Sue Bias has become one of the world’s greatest and well known lady bodybuilders. She looks terrific and now she doesn’t want or need companionship because she can have all the men she wants since she is a part-time bouncer at Happy Jacks. Elliott Martinez and Curtis Bush have just driven up in a white Cadillac, They must have hit the big time because they are both wearing black tuxedos. Come to find out they are the managers of Mary Sue’s bodybuilding. They are now quarreling over who will get her hand in marriage. Russel Kincaid and Joy Charlton have just arrived. They are now known to the world as teen idols. They teamed up to make the greatest rock band since the Beatles. Who is that blonde over there? It’s Tracy Grant. She had always heard from her best friend that blondes have more fun. She is now proceeding to find out. Since she has bleached her hair blonde, we asked her boyfriend what he thought and he said, No Comment. Monty Williams asked Lola Williams to marry him but she turned him down. Lola went on to find her fame and fortune elsewhere. She is now living in luxury with her handsome millionaire. Monty has now decided to just rely on his Ford company for his best investments. Well, it looks like they have made it alright so far - but after this party who knows what will happen. SENIORS 15 Dreams to Realities Another year has come and gone - another dream come true. Once again we will say good-bye; this time to each follow their own special rainbow in the sky. The days of high school are over and with graduation we step into the “rear world. Reflecting on our high school years at Smithville we realize that we have each learned to be an idividual, yet pull together as a group in time of need. We have been friends and enemies, pals and rivals - but through it all we have maintained the “Class of ’83“ identity. Although none of us may ever become rich or famous, we all have our dreams for the future. We dream; we hope. We work; we succeed. Dreams can become realities.
