This year the reunion is being held at the newly-opened Pollard’s Dance Land, formerly referred to as The Anderson Building. Stanley Pollard, who owns the Dance Land, has been kind enough to let us use the facilities for the evening. Stanley has also taken over Harvey's and become quite prosperous. Our hostess for the evening. Elaine Grant, has come all the way from Watson. OK. for this special occasion. She and her husband have four kids, all with red hair. It was expected though since red hair runs in the family. It seems that Veston Counts, our next arrival, stuck around Smithville and bathes earthworms for a living. Dusty Blaylock arrives on the scene with some help from his devoted wife. Robyn. Wearing tight pants has finally caught up with him and he is now lame for life. Laura Mims and Jimmy Zielinski have married and own Lane's Poultry Plant. They have risen to the elite class of society no doubt. Ho! What have we here? Mike Owens has just arrived at our bash on a — horse! Apparently he no longer has anyone to support him with trucks, that’s okay though, now he has a perfect way to hide his bowed-legs While telling you about a few of the alumni, almost all of the guests have arrived and the party has started. Let’s continue our little saga inside where we can mingle around some. In the middle of things is little Doretha James, who has made a big name for herself in the trucking business. Unfortunately though, she has to wear platform underwear to reach the steering wheel of her diesel. Beside Doretha. is Regina Ward who has received a Nobel Prize for her research in exploratory brain surgery on the inmates of the McAlester state penitentiary. Todd Crocker has finally found his true meaning in life. He is a member of the Thousand Islands cult, a group of men who have shared their heads and worship heads of lettuce. It looks like Todd is dressing Bobby Martin down about his wicked ways. Bobby has once again arrived at a party with a record number of hickeys on his neck. Karen Young has her own gossip column in the Smithville Times and is considered the new Rona Barrett. Thanks to her column we have found out some juicy information about some of her classmates. What have we here?! Glenn Wright has arrived with handcuffs on! Well, we don’t know the circumstances but I do hope he doesn’t die because he can no longer hold hands with Dana. Lethia Moore is the head cook of the new Smithville Catholic School for poor farm kids. But alas. Leshia’s faith is being tested by the handsome rodeo clown. We have just found out that there is a celebrity among our midst. Kathy Bohanon has arrived from Hawaii with her husband, a navy admiral. Kathy is the newly crowned Mrs. America. Gary Don Hughes has resigned from his job as president of the Ford Motor Co. and is now devoting his life to Rhonda. They have three children and own three black Fords. Out on the dance floor I see Joe Ludlow, who owns the largest swine farm in the state of Oklahoma. He and his wife have been fortunate (or unfortunate) enough to have fifteen kids. No hired help needed for Joe! Also on the dance floor is Sondra Freeman. Sondra has become so popular with her singing that she is now the main attraction at “Glen's Den” in Smithville. Along the sidelines of the dance floor are June Bruce and Brenda Shannon. June, now the president of the American Cancer Society, is passing out flyers encouraging people to stop smoking. Brenda, better known as AJ. owns one of the best driving safety schools in the United States. Mike Kincaid has surprised us all. He is working as a bouncer at the local Pub. so you better be careful around him! Kenny Jewell went on to college and became a scientist. He now has his own laboratory where he has perfected a formula for cloning Jewell boys. Eugene Taylor has not been heard from since he went on his yearly trip to Canada in the summer of ’82. We presume that he got lost and is living with an Iroquois tribe. Also missing from the party are Rocky Smith and Randy Castillo. After winning one trophy as a top weight lifter. Rocky joined with partner Randy and went on a big game hunt in Africa. They promised they would come home with the biggest lion they could find, but that’s been ten years ago! Liz England is passing out samples of her favorite candy bar. Baby Ruth. She and her husband. Chuck, live in Montana where they own the largest Baby Ruth candy factory in the world. Kendall Hopper is now a “well-respected priest. However, through the use of his confessional, he makes money on the side by selling information to Karen’s gossip column. After Veston left her for his worms. Gloria Skender wanted revenge so she has opened up a competitive business of dry cleaning toads. Speaking of toads and nature. Ricky Peterson has gone back to the simple way of living. He has his very own two-room cave condominium in the Klamichi Mountains. Over in a special exhibit section of the building. Bo Carter and his wife, the former Shelly Batchelor, are demonstrating the techniques of tag team wrestling. They have become the world's first husband and wife tag team wrestlers and don't mind the long hours of practice at home. Darla Cost is now a world famous pianist and renowned lecturer on classical music. But thanks to Karen’s column, we found out how Darla spends her spare time—at punk rock concerts! Stacy Nichols has finally decided to settle down. He is now the Head Coach of the Pee-Wee Baseball League at Smithville. So much for the Major Leagues! After graduation. Marlow Plunkett, now Marlow Bailey, moved to Luchenbach. TX. where she and James became the proud parents of quintuplets. After the births Marlow had a nervous breakdown, but is fully recovered now. Darrell Grant has married Hugh Hefner’s daughter and taken over the ownership of the Playboy magazine. Unfortunately though, Darrell has come under attack by the good Father Kendall who does not condone such magazines! Gaytha Jefferson returned to Hartshorne where she is the basketball coach and also a housemother at Jones Academy. Last but not least, we have Junior Goings who has become a connoisseur of fine wines. His only problem is that Mike keeps kicking him out of the Pub. The party is in full swing now and that is all of our alumni. Hope you enjoy yourself, but everyone who is under thirty years of age has to leave. Bye now!
