The old school is still standing, it and this bombshelter. The graduates of 1980 have all managed to leave their mark on the battlefields, whether here, at home, or on Iranian soil, they have all been in combat someway or another. Our speaker for tonight has just arrived ‘'General” Ted McCauley, better known to his classmates as “coward of the county.” Ted has become the war hero of the class. And who should walk in by his side? None other than Lena Sims, she couldn't say no, after Ted promised her she would never have to steal another cracker from the lunch room to survive, and that he would provide her with her own bombshelter where she could get her ring wet without anyone knowing it. Who is the stranger at the corner table? Oh no! It can’t be! It’s Jeff Johnson. He had to shave his head when he was admitted to West Point. He didn’t really mind much, because it was getting thin, and this way no one would suspect anything. Oh my! What is that walking around under the table? It’s Netela Smith. Netela is now a world renowned spy. after overhearing two Russian Generals discussing the proposed invasion of Miami Beach, while she was standing under their table. Our entertainment for the evening has arrived. Here comes Rhonda Shannon. Who would have believed a country girl like Rhonda would become a country music star and follow in the footsteps of Dolly Pardon? Behind her is Marvin Ludlow and Doris Watson, now known as Tuti and Fruti the hottest couple since Peaches and Herb. Why there’s Perry Smith. We are glad he has been able to make it tonight. We were afraid the Russians would not allow him to come. You see while Perry was on tour duty in Russia, he became so fascinated with the performance given by the Soviet Ballet Troup’e that he defected and became their star performer. We’ve recently discovered that Tonya Robb, Sherri Jacobs, Phyllis Owens, and Roxie Phillips have become successful Las Vegas show girls. They were scheduled to perform tonight, however, Mr. Capehart previewed their act and said there was too much “show in it. So tonight they will only be able to watch. Not perform. What is that I hear? It sounds like a baby crying. Why it’s Eric Tauriainen and Foo Man Choo. Eric has recently been touring the country winning one baby contest after another with his lovely son, Foo Man Choo. (Foo has recently been named Baby of the World.) However, some of the judges have been quoted as saying that Foo resembles an egg. Look who just walked in, its Deputies Clifford Fairless and Sheriff Tim Murry. They became so enhanced with the good job that Lobo and Perkins were doing that they decided to do the same thing for Smithville. and under their guidance it has worked, too! Sister Sandy Just has just arrived. After many years she has finally given up her childish ways. She has decided that her heart is with God and has become a nun. There’s Debbie Shedd. She has outdone them all. She never could decide on a career so she joined the army, and managed to do quite well. You can hardly see her dress for all the ribbons, and medals. One for each of the Russians and Iranians she has killed. Rickey Phillips has just pulled up in his school bus. After Karla was drafted Rickey had to stay home and take care of his ten daughters. They have all turned out to be fine calf-ropers, and they should too. because they use Rickey for a calf, since all other cattle had to be used to feed the army. What is that that everyone is looking at on the wall? Why it’s Dana Umstead’s poster. Dana has become Playmate of the Century. Dana thrilled, but Darrell wasn’t, so he divorced her. But there is a bright side, now Dana’s mom has given her her car so she can go to college. Denise Vaught is escorting Donnell’s sick wife in. Denise recently won Miss Short Nurse of America. Denise has made her dream come true, she is now a nurse. She has also made it into the Guiness Book of World Records, she is the smallest alcoholic nurse still practising. Donnell Williams is right behind Denise and wife. He is the proud father of 3 sets of twins and he regularly visits his ailing wife at the mental institution. Who is that coming out of the men’s room? Why it’s Jeff Grant. Jeff now has an Afro like Jeff Johnson used to have, and is now the 6’ 10 Center for the Harlem Globetrotters. Nobody has noticed the difference yet. He has also acquired this strange desire for watermelon. Who is that coming out of the ladies room? Why it's Toby Ashby. Toby has become a famous racing jockey. He races in Hot Springs every year. He has won a lot of money but he has to spend most of it buying stirrups that are long enough. Why there’s Tammy West. Tammy’s true identity has finally been uncovered. All these years she has been working undercover for the immigration bureau, deporting illegal aliens. Standing in the doorway asking for absentees, is John Brock. John decided to further his education and spent 6 years in a vo-tech. He returned to Smithville and has taken up his post as official Absentee collector. What is that clanking sound I hear? It’s James Bailey. Marlow joined the Army Paratroopers, and James tried to get in but they turned him down because of his loose joints and pigeon toes. He now works for a Chiropractor. Who is that cutting James' hair? Why it’s Mona Gayle Phillips. Mona Gayle is now married to a midget that was to far under regulation height to make the draft. They now have 6 medium sized girls. There is the people we have all been waiting for, Suzanne Williams and Tony Nichols. Suzanne, after being a regular customer at Bailey's Beer to Go. is finally half owner of the place. She thought it would be cheaper that way. Tony’s biggest dream has come true. He is now the official bartender of the Local Pub. He and Suzanne have donated the drinks for tonight’s reunion. Checking to see that the party doesn’t get out of hand is Leon Toon. Leon, after doing his term paper on Marijuana, decided to become a Drug Traffic Control Officer. He now trains the Canine Corps to assist in his work. There is Barry Cunningham with Smitty at his side. Barry is walking over to the aging Mrs. Hensly. Let’s listen in on the conversation. I don’t believe it. Even now, 20 years later from his high school days, Barry is still trying to pick up girls with the same old line, Pardon, do I look 18? Bud Blake and Tammy Carter have arrived with tonight’s refreshments. Bud has returned to Smithville to replace the retired Mrs. Hensley as Smithville’s Home Ec. teacher, after obtaining his master’s degree in Home Economics. Tammy, after flunking out of Home Ec. in college has returned and finally gave up and married Tom Kirk. What time she is not nursing him she spends as assistant cook for the Smithville Lunch Room. Pulling up in his Limousine is David Donica and his wife Karen. David is now running for U.S. Senator. He and his wife have been touring the state in their identical tee shirts and passing out pictures of the two of them taken at Wal-Mart in hopes of winning votes. Who is that talking to Mr. Kemp? It’s the world famous scientist Darrin Cooper. Darrin, while making some of his home brew, came up with the answer to the energy crisis. Due to the production of his gasohol crude oil prices have now dropped to $3 a barrel. Everyone is here but Ricky Smith. He is out in the parking lot trying to sell a camper. Ricky still drag races his old green pick-up and runs a camper salvage and sales company. What is that I hear? Could it be the Russian Supersonic M.I.G.’s coming back to finish off Tinkerfield? Oh no that’s just gouty old Mr. Capehart belching. As we look around everyone is palled out because the phrase bottoms up” was mentioned one too many times. 17 Blake. Donald Blake. Sherrie Bohanan.
