Smithville High School Smithville, Oklahoma 1971-72 BRAVE The Yearbook Class on behalf of the faculty and student body wish to dedicate the 1971-72 BRAVE to Cleffie Goff and in memory of her late husband, Bill Goff. Cleffie, with Bill's help, has worked for many years as cook at the Smithville School. At the end of this year, she plans to retire. These two have been wonderful and warm friends of several genera- tions of Smithville students. It is with reluctance that we say good-bye, but with happiness that we look to the future and hope that Cleffie has many happy years ahead. We ask only one favor and that is that she return oc- casionally to visit us. Sincerely. The Yearbook Staff Yearbook Class CINDY DON1CA Typist LINDA BATCHELOR Asst. Editor MARILYN FAIRLESS Class Editor BETTY WILLIAMS Editor JERRY WILLIAMS Photographer MRS. RUTH YOUNG Sponsor CHARLIE UMSTED Advertising Manager Student Council OFFICERS President DERIEL MOORE Vice President DOUG PILLOW Secretary BETTY WILLIAMS Assembly Chairman CINDY DONICA 3 CLAUDE EBERLE Superintendent JIM GLENN High School Principal GEORGE BROWN PAUL COOK Asst. Principal Junior High Principal I wish to extend my congratulations to a very fine yearbook staff for an excellent job on our 1971-72 yearbook. I also wish to extend my appreciation to the greatest student body in America. You students have held your head up, lived up to your duties to our United States of America, refrained from senseless rioting and racial problems, represented our school in a very commendable way and in general reflected the type of citizen we need in our troubled country today. You have accomplished much in spite of excessive publicity to forces that are trying to overthrow our government, ex- cessive immorality in our present day society, small groups of radicals in our own community that are against anything that would benefit young people or improve our community, and parts of Society that are against God and mankind. I believe you will be the leaders of tomorrow and I am happy to have been a part of your school here at Smithville High. ••Claude Eberle Superintendent Jim Glenn High School Principal Paul Cook Asst.
