With the momentum of a Jet, the versatility of the satellite, and the brightness of a star; ve present our BRAVE. We, the earthbound staff of the BRAVE, do wish to offer this our school annual, to all the students, the faculty, and to all the peoples who have room in their heart to share an interest in our boys and girls. We hope that within the gallaxy of facts and figures, and amusements, that ve, the staff and sponsor, have pleased you. In this year of 1967 our bright and shining stars are you, the boys and girls of Smithville school; the comet6 are the fine faculty of Smithville. In the age of firsts and originals, ve hope to be the first to take you to the highest and deepest realms of your hopes and ambitions. This year we dedicate THE BRAVE ll of 1967 to such a person. •• For more than two years, you helped us realize the true meaning of the •• art of SCIENCE. At times we felt that the assignments you gave to us could •• never be finished. OKLAHOMA To all you faithful workers who have made this good annual possible, I take great pride and pleasure In complimenting you on this fine work. I always say the current annual is tne finest yet, but this one exceeds them all. We will all treasure up many pleasant mem- ories of those we have known in the school years immediately past, but thi6 book brings us all into a great family-like group never to be forgotten. May each word, deed and picture bring back the fine years we have had together and inspire you toward greater years that must lie ahead. Sincerely, Superintendent Coy A. Chatham COY A. CHATHAM Superintendent JIM W. QLENN Principal Smithvillc Public Schools INOEPENOINT DISTRICT 14 SMITHVILLE. OKLAHOMA TO THE GRADUATING CLASS OF 1967 Thank you for this Invitation to write in your yearbook. Yours is a fine class, and the largest to be graduated from Smi thville High School. Your decision to stay in school warrents ccomendation. If a student learns to make good decisions, he can adjust to change, roll with the punches, and stay on top of changes. The world of work is vast, complex, fluid in nature; its range in Job requirements is dazzling; its rewards can be great or small; its importance is inestimable; it is man's opportunity; it is his vehicle or worth; it enables him to contribute. It is my wish that each of you will find self-fulfill- ment in this world of work, and that this will open to you the door of spiritual faith to the world of reward. Jim W p Pr W.
