Advisor Comments on Senior Class A Senior class advisor's remarks might well be titled “The Agony and the Ecstasy . As advisor for the class of '83, I have felt both. I have known: Laughter in the enjoyment of being with some of the finest students I have ever known; Elation when our financial goals were met through kit sales, concession stands, car washes, bake sales, sausage and cheese sales and sales of sweatshirts; Ordeal of dozens of cash transmittal forms preceded by collecting and counting of money, the careful ac- counting for all expenditures, and the organization nec- essary for the responsibilities that had to be assumed in order to accomplish our goals; Pride on prom night when I looked out on Caesar's Palace , a beautiful fulfillment of the dreams of a super chairman and hardworking Prom Committee; Association with class officers and class members who are courteous, helpful, and full of the vitality which youth enjoy the most; Recognition given for the myriad talents of the Senior class in the local, state, and national levels in varied scho- lastic and extra-curricular activities; Distinction which has been brought to Smithsburg High School by our many individual students and their organizations; Sorrow in serious injuries which have befallen several class members; success in frequently winning the spirit stick and delight in the sight of the Leopard paw sweat- shirts.
