l935iTN SMITHONIAN Seventh Grade Early in the fall of I93-I we were forced to give up our freedom ashore and enlist as members of the famous crew ofthe ship S, H. S. At first a few of us became seasick but after a time we acquired our sea legs and began to enjoy our voyage. The ship S, H. S. belongs to the great pirate organization Flying under the Hag Education Before we boarded the huge ship S. H. S. we spent six years sailing under the well-known Hag. However, the crews and ships had been small and we had never spent much time in rough water. The ship was like a Chinese puzzle. Even with the help of the older pirates and the ships officers we could not always End the cabins we wanted. This first year was-iust a beginning for us. We were not permitted to take an active part in the duties of the crew. Our time was spent in trying to learn the rules and regulations under which we were sailing. We have progressed rapidly during the year and although we have another year to spend as mascots before we can begin to man the ship we are willing to do our part and learn the trade well.
