Our srxth and seventh grades we hardly remember But we recollect our Iumor Hrgh as ll approached September Mlss Kennedy andM1ss Hutter came to Smrthfreld thts year And that was a memorable ttme for us here In our Freshman year we drscovered what Hrgh School meant Thrs was the trme when Wrlson was our presrdent Mr Greenwood and Mrss Cohen were our sponsors now And we managed to struggle through Algebra and Latrn somehow Joe was our presrdent when we were Sophomores Mrs Clayton and Mr Taylor were our sponsors We drssected frogs and frsh rndoors For our Brology teacher Bob Johnson Edwlna was presldent our eleventh year Isle of Wrght students were welcomed here Our trme was frlled wrth work and fun These days wrll be remembered by everyone Our class rrngs came our Iumor year You could see them shrnmg far and near We certarnly had a wonderful trme that nrght We were Senrors our presrdent was Vrrglnra Scott Wrth Frank Turner next rn lrne Ann Scott kept our mrnures well As treasurer Kate was flne We enjoyed grvrng our Senror plays And publrshrng THE HAM We had fun on our Washrngton Trrp days And the prom thrs year was grand Mrs Gale our sponsor helped us Durrng all our moods and Senror uss And Mr Reveley our good frrend Put up wrth us unt1l the very end Now to all our teachers we do owe A debt of gratrtude as from here we go To take our place rn the world outsrde And thelr words of counsel wrth us wrll abrde Then came the great day for whrch we awatted But as we walked up the arsle we were not too elated For when we received our dxplomas from Old Smrthfreld Hrgh We realrzed that to these happy years we were sayrng goodbye 19 And our Prom, we really did that up right. , . . !
