EDITORS ' MESSAGE The editors of the 1966 ECHO have created this yearbook with one primary pur- pose, to give the readers a running account of this year ' s activities of the Smith Academy students. By highlighting our senior year, we have tried to show what our high school career has meant to us. Through our academic struggles and ex- tracurricular activities, we have learned to work together as participants in com- munity living. We are indebted to many people for the success of our yearbook. Our thanks especially go to Mr. Skarzynski and the other members of the faculty for their interest and co-operation throughout the year. To Mrs. Spakowski, our advisor, we extend our heartfelt thanks for her helpful counsel. We express our apprecia- tion also to the many students who contributed write-ups and helped with the solicitation of ads. Let us not forget our sincere thanks to the advertisers and patrons without whom this yearbook could not have been published. I, as editor- in-chief of this yearbook, especially would like to thank all the editors who were so generous with their time and talents.
