IN MEMORIAM Patricia L. Zembiski December 21, 1948 - April 1, 1965 Sent to you is our last farewell Amidst the clanging of many a church bell. Many shall miss our demoiselle Truly deeper than one can foretell. Difficult is it to overcome the deep sorrow, Or hold back that out-breaking cry Of those who depart from us — today or tomorrow, But surely this should accompany all who die. Her smile will never begin to fade, Radiance and warmth it had shown, Revealing in Heaven — as the home of holy-made With character of an ever-cheerful tone. Long will rest the fervent memory For the girl who meant much to us. Yes, quite hard is it to combat the tears Which support the faith that rules all dear. by Thomas Ursia

PRINCIPAL ' S MESSAGE To the Class of 1966: Like every other high school graduate, you, as individual members of the gradu- ating class of 1966, will face critical decisions which neither wealth nor educa- tion will be sufficient to allow you an easy resolution. Maturity may promise the offer of an answer, for often, what has endured previous trials may endure yet another, and experience will be the product. We hope this has been the product of your education in Hatfield. As you enter the modern adult world with all of its exciting and fearsome de- mands, you can be secure with one thought. The most critical problems existing in the world have all been created by the people living in the world. Under- standing the answers to these problems simply requires 1 of you an under- standing of the people who created them. But caution forces me to quote the words of the English philosopher, John Locke, for his Essays on Human Under- standing. No man ' s knowledge here can go beyond his experience. Whatever decisions you will have to make in the future, allow your experience to share with your emotions in the answer. This is the true path to maturity and to material prosperity. With it will develop a spiritual prosperity which no price tag can place a value upon. Sincerely yours, r ■V-u
