The Senior Class of 55 is proud and happy to dedicate this Yearbook to John C. Jakobek, who merits our respect as the principal and superintendent of schools. He has been a wise counselor for four years. Many of our troubling situations were controlled by his guidance. He has made a definite and worthwhile contribution to the education system and community life in Hatfield. Both he and the class of 55 leave Smith Academy togeth- er. We are glad that he did not leave before the close of our course here. We congratulate him on his promotion, and we know his future will be one of continuing achieve- ment.
