Of time rushing past So quickly-too quickly Many friends will soon leave To go out on their own, Bringing closer the thoughts of my future. Senior year rushes to meet me, College just around the corner. I feel... As if I'm sprinting through the days Out of breath, wanting to slow the pace, Slow the hours to minutes To savor each more fully. To postpone the future- Scared of what will come, The changes I may not like. I wish... For everyone and everything To remain the same, To keep the closeness And affection of my friends For time to stand still. 15 Hard to Say I'm Sorry Everybody needs a little time away I heard her say From each other Even lovers need a holiday Far away from each other, Hold me now It's hard for me to say I'm sorry I just want you to stay After all that we've been through I will make it up to you I promise to And after all that's been said and done You're just a part of me I can't let go Couldn't stand to be kept away Just for the day From nobody Wouldn't want to be swept away Far away from the one that I love Hold me now It's hard for me to say I'm sorry I just want you to know Hold me now It's hard for me to say I'm sorry I just want you to know Hold me now I really wanna tell you I'm sorry I could never let you go After all that we've been through I will make it up to you I promise to And after all that's been said and done You're just a part of me I can't let go After all that we've been through I will make it up to you I promise to You're going to be the only one Chicago K Jiggest Troublemakers Troy Appleby McGavisk Twins Jest Looking Rick Isadore Linda Groves Most Spirit Mike Blose Joanne Higley Jhiest Chuck Dowell Deb Crum :iass Clowns Jim Trussell Wendy Shelander Nicest Smiles Ron Fiegl Lori Fitzsimmons 17 Most Musical Class Artists Most Talkative Dennis Miller Terri Rounsville Steve Carpenter Kelly Shetler Tony Anuszewski Holly Comes Tallest Boy Shortest Girl Best Dressed Darin Kallen Chris Grossman Jim Faes Michele Duvall 18 Class Athletes Joel Burdick Patty Duffy Contributed the Most Dave Mallison Warrie Semmel Brother Sister Bob Vogel Diane Austin Most Likely to Get Married Randy McCaslin Shelley Moyer Most Likely to Succeed Fred Walker Michele Younkins 19 Friendliest Scott McGuire Melonie Morton Shortest Boy Tallest Girl Dave Faes Jean Deegan Class Flirts Steve Zurat Lori Walker Teacher’s Pets John Buchholz Jackie Hauck Class Sweethearts Chauncey Kan Sheri Gorton Alan Anthony Anuszewski Tony February 7, 1966 Donald Arleane Morgan Football Varsity S Track Swinging Seventies What are you doin’?” Battles” Service, College Troy E. This is the first year the book was set up at the school and sent away to be published. This wouldn't have been possible without the help of Mr. Mallison. This was his first year as advisor and he contributed much time and effort to make this book a success. We would like to give him special thanks. We would like to thank those whose hard work and dedication helped to make this book possible, members of the staff, 5th period Visual Communications class and Kelly Shetler who designed our cover and division pages. We feel that the Class of '84' has had many memories and good times that we have captured in our yearbook. Best of luck to everyone. With the loss of nine seniors from an 8-1 team last year, the Hubbers were in a difficult position. After a loss in their home opener, the Hubbers won their next four games, one of which included an 8-6 win over Cameron County which forced a three-way tie in the Allegany Mountain League. The Coudersport Falcons, who later finished the year undefeated, handed the Hubbers their second and last loss at Homecoming. The last three games included a thrilling 23-20 win over previously undefeated Port- ville plus two other victories over Bolivar and Port Allegany. Starting with cheering camp in July, our cheerleaders are busy every month through to tryouts the following April. These same girls are also involved in numerous other school act- ivities, often as active members and leaders. Cheerleading is commitment, involvement, and leadership, and is an important part of our school sports program. Let's continue to give this program the support it has earned. 103 JV CHEERLEADERS Row 1 Linda Fattar. Tina Ramard. Kaily Wolfingar Row 2 Shaila Hartla. Yvonna Waiaar, Tina Nawman. Amy Zurat. The Hubbers com- pleted their first winning season in league competition in the last five years with an 8-6 record. The Hubber basketball program is beginning to bounce back . The Hubbers began the season with several hard fought games but came up on the short end each time. Gamely keeping their confidence the Hubs finished 3rd in the Port Allegany Christmas Tournament and pre- pared for league competition. Coudersport was the opener, but despite a gallant team effort, the Hubbers lost in the last 26 seconds of the game The team followed with four straight im- pressive wins over Austin, Otto-Eldred, Oswayo Valley and Port Allegany Two consecutive losses dimmed the chances of winning the league title, but four more wins placed them one game out of 1st place. The second Port Allegany game was a heartbreaker as Smethport once again lost in the last minute of play to be eliminated from a chance at the league title. Your Friend Jean Shelley, You’re very special to me and I Love You a lot. Love Randy TIME FLIES It seems just like yesterday when we were going off for our first day of school. Then time passes and we get our first boy-friend or girl-friend. Then we move from childhood to adulthood, this is one big Jump. Our sophomore year comes and we get our class rings. Then our junior year rolls around with magazine sales and eventually the prom. At this point we bring everything together to make our prom a success. Later the same year we have our moving up day when the old seniors move aside to make room for us. School comes to an end for that year. We return again when the leaves on the trees change their colors. We go through homecoming and the other events of the year. Then comes moving up day in our senior year when we step aside to make room for the class of 1985. Even now we are moving out into the world that lies beyond the walls of this school. Graduation comes and goes, we say our good-byes and cry, but the years have been good to us so let us cheerish the memories we have made together for they will be what binds us together.
