OUR EDITORS MESSAGE Well, that time of the year has finally come! The school year- book is here. For many of the students it is a ioyful time, but for the seniors, it is a time of mixed emotions. The underclassmen-Qykforward tolnext year with antici- pation. They ponder over what challenges next year will bring, what prestige they will gain, being a year older, and a year wiser, and how many new friends and memories they will find. On the other hand, the seniors look to the future with ex- pectation. We will leave high school, and our friends, to embark upon the most important iourney of our life, the venture into the harsh world. During the next few years we will find many prob- lems facing us. We will be able to cope with these problems, and meet the challenges with intelligence and determination. I be- lieve, that through the combined efforts of our faculty and admin- istration, we will be able to succeed in life. 4 I During our years in high school our faculty and adminis- tration worked in unison to sculpture our minds into those of the scholars of tomorrow. I believe that because of their untiring devotion to education, we owe them a vote of thanks. But, we seniors are not the only ones that have memories. Every student in the high school has memories of those ioyful years he has spent there. We, of the Nunundah Staff, believe that this edition of our yearbook will bring back many memories, not iust at the present, but in future years as well. I sincerely hope you enioy this book and will cherish it as one of your most precious belongings. My very best wishes for success, James Schnepp- Editor

Publication of the Nunundah is a symbolic reminder that one more school year has about run its course. This edition with its clear, distinct photography and excellent layout is far removed from the early post-war editions. It certainly is a reward for the efforts expended by members of this senior class and their yearbook advisor, Mrs. Lombard. We might say that the beauty of this book illustrates the degree of technological development which has greatly improved the yearbook processes in recent years. These new and complicated processes are examples of our present electronic age, They typify the great advancements made in many of the functions which affect our daily living. Education is and always will be the door through which we learn to adapt our- selves to rapid and sometimes radical changes. The skills acquired today may be outmoded tomorrow. We must be capable of learning and adiusting to new ideas, situations, and vocations. The late President Kennedy has recently stated that our educational system today is neither adequately adiusted nor adequately financed to meet present day needs, and thus fails to provide full educational opportunities for all citizens.
