PRINCIPAL Dear Graduates, Please accept my sincere congratulations upon your successful com- pletion of high school. For you the first part of your education is over. I hope you realize that your complete education is never over. You will continue to learn as long as you live. Your teachers for the past twelve years have tried to give you the solid educational foundation that is needed to meet the challenge of today's complicated world. It is now up to you to build upon this founda- tion. You will be limited only by your own personal ambitions and desires. I offer you my best wishes in the years that lie ahead. May they be successful and satisfying for each one of you. Sincerely yours, Joseph Papania Mr. Joseph Papania OFFICE STAFF Miss Beverly Mc- Gavislc, Mrs, Esther Herriman, Mrs. Elea- nor Abplanalp. 1-fkv

Publication of the Nunundah is a symbolic reminder that one more school year has about run its course. This edition with its clear, distinct photography and excellent layout is far removed from the early post-war editions. It certainly is a reward for the efforts expended by members of this senior class and their yearbook advisor, Mrs. Lombard. We might say that the beauty of this book illustrates the degree of technological development which has greatly improved the yearbook processes in recent years. These new and complicated processes are examples of our present electronic age, They typify the great advancements made in many of the functions which affect our daily living. Education is and always will be the door through which we learn to adapt our- selves to rapid and sometimes radical changes. The skills acquired today may be outmoded tomorrow. We must be capable of learning and adiusting to new ideas, situations, and vocations. The late President Kennedy has recently stated that our educational system today is neither adequately adiusted nor adequately financed to meet present day needs, and thus fails to provide full educational opportunities for all citizens.
