SENIOR OFFICER Larson, Randall, Ctmningham, Comes, Smithg Treasurer, Secretary, Clean-up, Vice-President, President In September of 1953 the curtain rose on a four act play, The Success Story. The cast consisted of eighty-five students. The first act revealed us as shy, self -conscious freshman making friends and planning our Freshman Frolic. The second act found us one step higher on the ladder of success. We were proud to be entering Senior High. We elected class officers who were to retain their position during the following three years. We sponsored the annual Sadie Hawkins Day Dance which was a huge success. The third act saw us as confident juniors who looked up only to the seniors. We ac- complished much that year as we purchased our class rings, held numerous food sales, and traveled to Hawaii for our Prom. The play was soon to be concluded with the cast reduced to fifty seven. The opening of act four displayed us as Seniors nearing the end of our association with Smethport High School and the class of 1957. We had a wonderful year. If you could once again enact it, what would you choose? An athletic event, the Halloween Hop, your first date with that certain someone, the Christmas Ball, an activity, Twerp Week, signing of the NUNUNDAHS, your last Prom, Class Day, New York Trip, graduation night? As you reminisce what is your reactiong relief, triumph, success, or tears? We,as a class, are proud of our accomplishments which we obtained by the guidance, devotion, and instruction of the faculty. We are now ready to begin the climb on the ladder to success. But in our hearts and minds we will always remember our dear Alma Mater. 14
