Remember, upon your graduation, the diploma that you will receive is merely a sym- bol of your having completed a required coLu'se of study. The true meaning of gradua- tion comes with maturing years. The enriching experiences and fun of your high school training and activities will become much more real and self-evident as you pursue your higher education, trade, or occupation. By virtue of having completed your education in the high school, you are enabled to live a happier, more useful, complete life and you are better citizens of your com- munity, state and nationg your diploma-is not a symbol, but its true meaning is em- bodied in you, a fine competent American youth, well prepared to assume and think through the many responsibilities of your generation.
