Sll lllll The year is l956. Graduation is upon us. This yearbook willsoon be the only link between the past and the present. A nostalgic memento of carefree school days that will be at first accorded the highest place of honor in our rooms and then will be pushed from table to bookshelf, from bookshelf to bottom drawers and Finally--in a cleaning out of our old school- day mementos--will be packed, together with an old football letter and diploma, in o cardboard box and stashed away in a dusty attic, to be forgotten. Then one day we stumble on it in a search for something else and sitting on the attic floor, the days we spent together will come back once more. What is it that you'll remember---the first thrill of being a freshmonp the time the extra point was kicked at a crucial moment, the pride as the school band copped first honors at a contest, the special something you felt as you walked in the first snow flakes of winter, the warm applause as the final curtain of the senior play descended, or the dream-world beauty of the Junior-Senior Prom as girlsin pink con- fection dresses brought forth a proud smile from special beous? As you sit there on the attic floor, and a flood of memories suddenly crowd the present from your mind, do not Forget that all these things were and are truly ours and shall be kept alive in this book. CLASS lilllllllllll Stratton, Treasurerg Barndt, Vice-President: McKay, President: Raught, Secretary. 14
