On February 23, 1961, Miss Hannah Wimer, fondly known as “Gummy,” sadly said good-bye to the girls of North Hall. She had been the housemother there for 12 years. House Couneil presented her with a dozen red roses in memory of the occasion. Planned and spontaneous tributes from the rest of the dorm were paid to her. while she made her last rounds. 22
