Graduation Exercises Nlay 24th and May 25th marked the last days at Slippery Rock for 14.4 grad- uating Seniors. On Sunday afternoon, May 24th, Bac- calaureate services were held at Thomp- son Field. The main speaker was the Reverend E. Marcellus Nesbitt of Beaver Pa. Nlonday morning, May 25th, was a momentous occasion in the lives of the graduating Seniors. A lifetime goal was reached. Bachelor of Science in Education Degrees were conferred on 88 Elemen- tary and Secondary Education Seniors, and Bachelor of Science in Health Edu- cation Degrees were conferred on 56 Physical Education Seniors. Dr. Harold T. W7ieand, Dean of Instruction, pre- sented the graduates for degrees and diplomasg Dr. Norman N. VVeisenHuh, President of the College, conferred the degrees and awarded the diplomas. Pre- ceding the presentation of diplomas was the traditional commencement address delivered by Dr. Paul H. Masoner, Dean of the School of Education at the Uni- versity of Pittsburgh.
