With the arrival of Marcli QISK, the oflicial beginning of spring, Slippery Rock students begin to look forward to the real arrival of spring, those balmy days that arrive three weeks to a month later. Mr. Sun beckons students out-of-doors. Books are laid asideg sun bathing in the court, at the pond, or at Slippery Rock Creek consumes many hours. Tennis is enjoyed by the average student who takes to the courts between gym classes, tennis team practice, and meals. Picnics replace meals for many during this spring season. This year the picnics brought about the closing of the little cafeteria. On this page, and the two following, we have captured some of this spring activity. Young and Alexander were the leading point getters for the squad. Other squad mem- bers were Wally Sychak, Chuck Moses, and Carl Sloniger.
