Wingard checks Westminster runner on second Baseball After a spring warm-up jaunt to the sunny southland, Coaches Rose and Egli brought their baseballers north to a. highly successful season. Captained by Wayne Petrarca, this year's diamond men compiled an eight and seven record. Com- prised of predominantly underclassmen, this team showed continual hustle and a never-say-die spirit. Outstanding on this year's squad were Woitovich, Gurgurich, Graff, Schmitt, Shultz, Timmney, Pe- trarca, Nagy, Darr, Paskorz, Leavy, and Wingard. 44- Joe Kandor awaits volley as Dave Putman serves Tennis Led by Captain Joe Kandor and num- ber one man, Dave Barnes, Coach Smiley's tennis team compiled an overall 4 and 3 record, and garnered a tie for first place in the State Teachers College Conference by going undefeated in State Teachers College competition. Other squad members included Dave Putman, Buck Dunaway, Nick Macaluso, and Vic Eyth. With the loss of only Macaluso the Rocket netmen should continue to im- prove next year.
