Dedication The paramount achievement of a person of boundless energy and enthusiasm seems to be the knack that he has of directly transmitting these qualities to the people with whom he comes in contact. No better example can be found of such a person than Mr. Clyde Lady. No person who has ever watched him briskly walk across campus, or listened to his clear, sharp voice, or watched his keen eyes dance back and forth as he addressed you, can help but Ik- deeply impressed by him. “Discouragement” seems to be a word which he has never even included in his vocabulary. He is always able to meet every situation squarely, conquer it, and move on to greater achievements. Because of his wholesome and vibrant personality Mr. Lady has become to us not only a teacher and an advisor, but also an inspiration. If we can but imitate his splendid example, our lives cannot help but be enriched. To show our appreciation for all he has done for the students of Slippery Rock, we humbly dedicate the 1951 Saxigena to Mr. Clyde Lady. 6
