SENIOR CLASS OFFICERS SENIOR CLASS HISTORY In eaily September of 49 25 frolicsome Freshmen trooped up the stairs through the hall and in to meet Mr Young Greeting us with a friendly smile we immediately became friends Our first trial was the 1n1t1at1on CI ll never forget Larry and Art in their glrdl s and Mary rolling macaroni across the stage with her nose D Surviving this made us more determined Throughout the year we worked hard plannlng for our one and only party Since we vere supplied with too many sweets at It ful ther parties were eliminated In the year of 1950 only 20 tamed sophomores got up the next pair of stalrs and into Room 5 Because of an automobile accident Mlss Kester took a sick leave Mr Shaw substituting ln her place In October we successfully Cwell almost? sponsored the Freshman Receptlon In the Spring yes' Remember those Biology trips Some people will never learn will thev Janet Some people hate always learned havent thev Dean In 51 18 ambitious Juniors passed on through the hall and settled in ONF corner of lVIr Fl m ine s room With great anticipation we looked forward to ieceixing our class rings in Decembei Things were always buzzing' Remember the lainy dav we played hookey Gwen We had to clean house I think Inventing the Spaghetti Supper we ealn l enough money to sponsir the Gypsy Prom Th calls a few memories Joan s dance Max s stuffed bull Laiiv s mustache and red bandana Audix Pago s big love scene Janet Buins falling behmd the seen ly and Mearns heralding blast on the trumpet It so happened that on the day of the prom all but four Juniors took suddenly ill' In 1952 onlv 12 twhat happenedob proud students clossed the long hall to take the honorable place of Seniors Midway through the year our number decreased to 11 This year we started olf by selling, yearbook ads haxmg a dunffaree dance and a w1nte1 carnixal Rfmember those English themes essavs sonnets and quotat1ons Thev always seemed to come on the night of a basketball ame Ile have this yearbook und r control now since it IS the first of Ma ch By the time this is piinted we Seniors vill be close to giaduation Th w ritmg of our class history stops now but our past memories will lne forexei Iconsidei it a great honor to be one of the Sen ors of 1903 because I know we hate made histoix Bei erlv McDowell 12 .
