MISS ESTHER DEFUR The EXODUS Staff of 1964 respectfully dedicates this publication to an out- standing teacher, Miss Esther DeFur. Miss DeFur has influenced the lives of thousands of young men and women in this country today. -Her example, her teachings, her integrity, and her ability have gained for her an honored place in this community. A TRIBUTE An eternal flame flickers to the memory of a man. The memory of a man standing tall and stately carrying the trials and tribulations of a nation on his shoulders. The memory of a man who fought and later died for the existance of a nation. A nation that he loved. It was he who wanted peace among all nations both big and small. He tried and succeeded in uniting them in principle. An eternal flame flickers to the memory of a man brushing the unruly lock of hair from his forehead. The memory of a father calling John-John to come and play. It is this man that the American people will long remember in their hearts. It is this man that said, Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country.
