IN MEMORY OF LARRY CLARK Larry would have been a member of the present ninth grade class. He was struck and killed by lightning at the age of thirteen while caddying at the University Golf Course of East Stadium Boulevard, only a few blocks from his home. Larry was born October 12, 1940, in Ann Arbor, the son of Mr. and Mrs, Kenneth E. Clark. Before coming to Slauson, he had attended Bach and Eberwhite elementary schools. He was an honor student while at Slauson and would have entered ninth grade in September of 1954. Larry, a member of our Slauson band, as you probably know, enjoyed music very much, He listened to records a great deal asa hobby. While at Slauson, he belonged to the Chess and Checkers Club. He enjoyed sports and played in most of his home- room games. He played baseball in the summer, and he liked to play golf and archery. He was intending to enroll in the Archery Club. His other outside interests were being a patrol leader of his Boy Scout Troop No. 4 of the First Methodist Church and also having a large stamp collection which he en- joyed. He also liked to make things out of wood. In his younger years he raised rabbits and chickens. Larry was a quiet friendly boy, and he was well liked by everyone. His death was a great shock to all of us, but although we have learned to go on without him, we shall never forget him and his smile.
