MUMMEY There are no words which could possibly express our deep thanks for a job well done as class advisor, teacher, and friend; therefore, we dedicate REFLECTIONS 72 to Mr. Rodney O. Mummey. Not only has Mr. Mummey spent endless hours help- ing the class of 1972, but he has contributed much to school and community activities. His outgoing personality, “crazy” sense of humor, and ceaseless energy all combine to form a successful teacher, coach, and community leader. Missing: Treasurer Karen German. 56 INGEGERD GUNVIK Ingegerd Gunvik, a pleasant addition to the senior class, is this year’s Rotary Exchange Student. Coming from a small town in Sweden, Ingegerd finds Slatington quite similar to her home- town. Although busy with the Ex- change Program, Ingegerd finds time to participate in numerous activities around the school: chorus, Student Council, dramatics club, and debate. Among Ingegerd’s accomplishments, the introduction of International Weekend was one of her finest. Ex- change students from all over the Le- high Valley participated in festivities which included a banquet, a party, and a dance. Ingegerd’s bright smile and warm personality will never be forgot- ten, for she has made innumerable con- tributions to the school and commun- ity of Slatington, Pa. INTERNATIONAL WEEKEND 57 TALENT FASHION SHOW Emcee William Lakatas takes us back in time for a word from “Sugar Coated Nazis .
