Smith Hall was named in memory of Norman Smith, who was an athletic instructor in our schools. To this magnificent building, we, the olass of 1948, dedicate our yearbook. As we enter the vestibule, we see a glass case whioh contains the trophies of Slatington High School. We go either to the left or right and enter the gymnasium to discover that on both sides of the playing court are bleachers whioh seat 1400 people. At the east end of this palestra is located a huge stage whioh serves adequately for concerts, plays, and other types of entertainment . Smith Hall, which is the center of athletio activities for the school and oommunity, houses all gym classes for boys and girls and has been the soene of many interesting school.
