I- Gs., MARJORIE GIBBS Marge is full of pep and loves cheerleading, Her other activities include F,H.A., Chorus, Pep Club 3 years, and the Annual Staff 1 year, She has had the honor of being Home- Coming queen Attendant Z years, ANN GWINN Ann's always in a hurry but by looking back over her activities in the past years, we can well see why, She has been in the FJ-LA, and a member oi the Student Council Z years, Band and Chorus 4 years, Pep Club 3 years, Junior Play, Debate Z years, She has worked faithfully for 4 years, on the Annual Staff being co-editor her Senior year, DOROTHY HAGER The gray-haired lady in the Junior Play is very popular among her classmates, She was in FJ-LA, 3 years, Pep Club, Chorus, and the Annual Staff 1 year, DORIS HAYNES Being active in F.H.A.. Doris has been an officer i.n the local chapter as well as in sub-district w' k. Other activities .clude Junior Play and Chorus, She was attend- ant to both March of Dimes Queen and Barnwarming Queen. Doris is noted for her pleasant smile, ERNEST HARPER A speedy little guard who's been a big asset to the first string Basketball team this year. Ernest is also a member of the S Club and likes to type, RUSSLLL HARRHv1r.N Russ has taken a great interest in F,F.A., being president his Senior year and winning the G.M.O. Award in Agriculture. He has also been in the Junior Play, Chorus, Band, Stu- dent Council and the An- nual Stafi, His favorite pastime is square dancing and having lun. BUDDY HARVEY Bud likes sports and shows his inte rest in them by being active in both Football and Basketball, His other activities include, Chorus 4 years, Student Council 3 years, and a member ofthe S Club. Bud enjoys basketball and the company of a certain girl, JANLT PDLNRY In past years Janet has been active in I-',H,A, Chorus. and Pep Club. .She participated in the Junior Play, being in the specialties, Where there is a skating rink, you can be sure Janet's not for away, this being ner favorite pastirne. MAXINE1 HINNAH Maxine has received rnany honors during hcr four years at S.H.S. These include: President of the Sophomore and Junior Classes, President of the Student Council, Secretary and President of F.H.z-i., Chorus, Band and Junior Play Specialties. She also received the Girls' Smte Award in l953. Jirn was the big whale oi a man on our Football line, BOB MOTZE L When someone mentions Foo1.baLl, you think of Bob, Not only has he taken top honors cm our Slaterteam, but also high honors i.n the Conference, plus 3 years of Track and the Pres- ident of S Club, Sports aren't Bob's only interest, he has 4 years of Band and Chorus, Secretary and Treasurer of Junior Class and Junior Play, BEVLRLY NARRON A real mischievous gal with a sweet smile, Bev arnwarrning queen attendant and Carnival Queen czxnilzdatc, She has been in F,H.A, Z years, but would rather play Basketball than HOWARD PAGE Howard is another of our top athletes, He has played Football 4 years, Basketball and Track 3 years, He has also been an outstanding member of the F.F,A.. having held several high offices, HELEN SEIEOLD Although Helen is a quiet girl, she has been in the Band 3 years and Chorus 4 years, She was also in the F,H.A. 2 years and had a role in the Junior Play, MYRA SHE PARD Myra has been in the F.H.A. 2 years, Pep Club 3 years, and in the Junior Play, The thing she enjoys most is music, as her 4 years of Chorus proves. Myra will always be remembered for her giggles, CLIFFORD THOM PSON We find Clifford going quietly on his way but always getting anything he undertakes well done, He has played Football Z years and he likes Math, ROY THOM AS Roy has been active in F.F.A. for 4 years plans to become a tiller of the soil when he graduates, MAC THOMAS Mention the Junior Play and the first thing you think of was Mac in his performance of It's ln The Book . It is under- standable why he was good in the specialty for he has been active in Band, Cho- rus, Boys' Quartet and Brass Sextet. As strange as it may seem the thing he enjoys most is music, THERESA WOOD Susie has been active in Pep Club, being Pres- ident her Senior year. She has been in I-'.l-l.A,. Cho- rus, Annual Stafi and a memberof the Junior Play Cast. Her most prominent Characteristic is her eyes, Did you ever see such big brown ones ? SHIRLEY TURNER Shirley has been very active in S.H,S,, serving onthe Student Council several years and a repre- sentative to Girls' State, She has been a cheer- leader Z years, a member of the Junior Play, the Chorus, FJ-LA. and the Annual Staff, Her favorite pastime is doing what comes naturally , BOB W ILLM ING GENE VOGEL Gene has been the manager of both the Football and the Basketball teams and is a member of the S Club.
