GIRLS' BASKETB LL FIRST ROW, Left to Right: Patti Locker, Barbara Ross, Colleen Tweedt, Gayla Rich- ardson, Evelyn Vespestad, Darla Carlson. SECOND ROW: Sandy Klonglan, Judy Ryen, Karen Klonglan, Sharon Dahl, Eileen Thompson, Susan Weeks, Janet Locker. THIRD ROW: Patti lhleQMan- agerl, Tonia Schaudt, Coach Blackman, Nancy Ihle, Judy Floden, Manager. GAYLA RICHARDSON. Junior, - ,- ,.,- -, WV-- -- H ,W ll, 7, ,, D, . ., , t r , score as many points as the other two regulars, but she is a hard forward to defend because she does everything well. One of the better players in the conference. COLLEEN TWEDT: Junior, Forwardg Colleen seemed to improve with each game and has developed into one of the best scorers in the conference. Colleen won the scoring title in the county tournament this season. PATTI LOCKER: Junior, Guard, Patti developed into a top guard this season, she has a tremendous amount of desire to play and her aggressiveness was a big factor in our de- fense this season. I don't think Patti let down for a single game all season. DARLA CARLSON: Sophomore, Forward: Darla was the most improved player over last season's squad. She was a very steady player fora sophomore and is a great outshooter. Darla has a lot of scoring potential. BARBARA ROSS: Sophomore, Guardg Barbara is probably the most underrated player on the squad. She was our rebounder all season and the hardest guard on the squad to drive around. She turned in a dependable performance in every game. EVELYN VESPESTAD: Freshman, Guard: Evelyn developed a great deal and performed on the first team all season as a freshman. Her specialty was intercepting passes which she did very well. A good rebounder, she should continue to develop. SANDRA KLONGLAN: Sophomore, Forward, Sandra has a lot of drive andagood touch. When she gains more confidence she will score a great deal more. She played on the first six a great deal this season. KAREN KLONGLAN: Freshman, Guardg Another freshman guard who shows a lot of poten- tial. Karen is very aggressive and although she didn't start often, she played almost every game. JANET LOCKER: Freshman, Forward: Janet shows a lot of promise and has good driving ability for a young player. Janet has speed and needs only to develop her shooting. Janet played some first string ball this season. EILEEN THOMPSON: Sophomore, Guard, Eileen is one of the most improved players on the squad. She is exceptionally steady in games, considering her experience. Other squad members included Susan Weeks, Judy Ryen, Sharon Dahl, Tonia Schaudt, and Deanna Ihle.
