Skiers challenge slopes at Tahoe Ski Club-Lake Tahoe's slopes challenged ski club members when they visited Alpine Meadows and Squaw Valley Five other trips were planned to Sugar Bowl, Bear Valley, Kirkwood, Dodge Ridge, and Heavenly Valley. Choosing areas that would appeal to all skiing skills was the job of Kim McLean, president, Mike Simon, vice-president, Karen Aikawa, secretary, and Carter Milhous, publicity. A candy sale was organized by the club to help defray ski trip costs. Sponsoring the group were Mrs. Juliette Dunham, and Mr. Clarence Stevenson. Now girl cadets join ranks in Officer Corps For the first time in its seven yea rs of existence, the Reserve Officer Training Corps allowed women members among the ranks. Field trips sponsored by the National Guard took the cadets to Camp Parks for a series of experimental basic training maneuvers. Brigadier Commander Alfred Harris was the student in charge ofcommand during the academic year.
