EM l 'K al- .Wa V' 4 iw' 14 ' r Pa: l After an impressive pre-season, the junior varisty gridders powered their way to the first championship in twelve seasons. With at least a tie for first place guaranteed, the junior varsity team beat Oaklands JV 12-8 in the last game of the season. Having several opportunities to score, the offense was only able to punch it over twice, while the defense held its opponents to one touchdown. ln the league opener, the JV's shutout Castlemont, 19-O. The toughest team of the year was McClymonds who took an 8-6 defeat. During the third week of the season, the stingy defense blanked Fremont 12-O.
