Groups reflect varied concerns Asian Student Union-Food sales, dances, and a Kung-Fu assembly were among the many activities of the ASU. Mr. James Wong, sociology teacher, sponsored the group. Cheering squads boost school spirit -49 Hours of persistant practicing by the song girls, letter girls, and cheerleaders, resulted in a sprited football season. Twenty one girls made up the 1973-1974 cheering squad, which led the enthusiastic rooters in cheers created by the squads for the MIGHTY TITAN teams. Conservation Club-Conservation Club, sponsored by Miss Helen Wheeler, and headed by Richard Kattelmann, has campaigned for many important issues. Among them are writing letters to congressmen and state legislators to support California's wilderness areas. Students have worked to promote environmental education at Skyline and also elementary schools. The group is also a member of BAYCOTE CBay Area Youth Conference On The Environmenty a Bay Area high school organization. GirI's Athletic Association-Sponsored by Mrs. Dorothy Gray, the GAA involves a wide variety of year round sports. The gymnastics team sponsored a candy sale to raise money. Another fund raising project was the selling of address labels by club members.
