Block S is an organization consisting of athletes who have earned their letters in various sports at Skyline. The club patrolled basketball games and helped control assemblies, members also handled security for the International Fair. Officers are Kent Mitchell, president, Marzine Parker, vice president, Stacy Baba, secretary and Bob Watters, sergeant at arms. Helping teachers conduct their classes were the teen teachers, sponsored by Miss Helen Baker. The girls presented the flag at the fifth annual Girls' Boosters Night. Tennis players claim title Winning their sixth consecutive title for the Oakland Athletic League championship was the girls' tennis team. Coach Miss Helen Baker led the girls to their undefeated victory by her encouragement and help during practices every Tuesday and Thursday. Placing in the City Wide Doubles Tournament were Marsha Penning-Debby Ditzler who took first and Teri Wright-Trish Kohl who took third.
