With the return of Coach George Powles and the needed help from lohn Lagos, the Skyline Sluggers were anxious to capture the outright title for the second straight year. This year's cast of players consisted of sluggers Hank Wirta, Alfonso Carmona, Buddy Goldstone, lim Sullivan and Donn Falaschi. In addition, the Titan's pitchers Louis Bixler, Randy Nelson and Robert Haight were consistent. Other standouts were Rob Rovetta, Dan Eng, Rick Beren and Walt Boyle. Coming out of retirement, Coach George Powles tells Harvey Cornwell, George Howard, Ross Simkover and Rob Rovetta the secrets of hitting.
