G mnasts vie for top place Performing without defeat to an anticipated Northern California Championship was the 1973 gymnastic team rated by Coach Ira Bud Call as the 'Team of the Decadef Outstanding senior performers were the Hansen brothers, Greg and jeff all around, and Cris Wright on rings and floor exercise. Specialists on the pommel horse were Doug Rundle and Doran Newhart. Excelling on the rings were jeff Bruno and Cory Franzini. junior members participating on the team were Derrick Wong and Rick Hanan. Cris Wright shows superior strength as he performs an iron-I on the rings. ,Ski team works for perfection Beginning the year with a record turnout of thirty, the ski team looked forward to a successful season. For the first time the Inter- scholastic ski federation was divided into two divisions, the A league consisting of ten schools, Skyline's league, and the AA league consisting of six schools. To keep in top physical condition the members worked out on the campus as well as on the snow. The team, headed by Eugene Rockeman, raced at ski resorts such as Mammoth, Alpine Meadows and Heavenly Valley. mm, L, Upper left: Karen Wemmer, number one girl skier, anticipates the gate in a giant slalom.
