The main objective of this class was to familiarize the students with general knowledge ofthe human body, as well as cover areas that are pertinent to students in everyday life. A,VVVVV W7-W l K Mr. Paul Berger Mr. lra Call Mr. Elwood Davidson Mr. Anthony Fardella New uniforms were issued to the basketball and volleyball teams under the leadership of department head Miss Helen Baker. New warm up suits were obtained for the girls gymnastic team for the first time. Any girl who was a member of one of the seven Girl's Athletic Association teams was able to buy a special red and white T-shirt. New planning in the boy's physical education department gave juniors and seniors the opportunity to choose the activity in which they would like to participate each quarter. Football and wrestling coach Tony Fardella acted as department head for the first part of the year while Mr. Paul Berger recovered from an illness. Coach George Powles, who retired last year, returned to coach the championship baseball team. Tom Banis returns ball with a forearm smash in his second period gym class.
