Zonta Club was involved in various activities during the school year. Under the direction of Miss Wilma Lorentz and Mrs. Kathryn Allen, the club ushered at school functions, entertained at a convalescent hospital, and raised money for the Cerebral Palsey Center. Kelly Ferro was president. Save the Children, a club formed in December and sponsored by Mrs, Rosemary Eagan, sent money for Indian children on a reservation. Pep Club members promoted spirit in their red and white outfits by selling refreshments and cheering at basketball and football games. Mrs. Helen Middleton was sponsor. Ecology Club members wrote letters to their legislatures, urging them to save the wolves and polar bears. The club, sponsored by Miss Helen Wheeler, went on a trip with the Audubon Society to the San Joaquin Delta to make a study of waterfowl. Save the children members are Selene Johnson, Debbie Stewart, Sally Lowel, Sue Janner, and Janice Vickers. They voted to adopt an American Indian child. BELOW:fZonta club members are FRONT ROW: M.
