Oracle wins high honors For the 1972 Oracle staff the deadline was always near. Reporting on campus news before it occured as well as after and taking unusual photos were the responsibilities of the reporters and photographers. Counting headlines, planning a layout, and arranging a final paste-up for the page was the problem faced with every issue of the Oracle. Again awarded Quill and Scroll's highest honor, International Honor Award, the Oracle attempted to give each edition a new twist or a new feature. Compiling, administering, and checking the results of the drug survey of the entire school was one of the major tasks of the staff this year. Among other innovations were a larger editorial section, more movie and book reviews, a series of articles on the department heads, more letters to the editor and a section on Bay Area Happenings listing activities in the Bay Area.
