After receiving new materials for the anthropology class, teachers were able to expand and improve their teaching techniques. Among the supplies received were books, tapes, and film strips. Department head Miss Margaret Ward directed her staff in explaining the class system and the eighteen-year-old vote. Because many seniors wanted to graduate early, a heavy burden was put on the government teachers in the first semester to enable those students to complete their graduation requirements before February.
