Reporters attend special press conclave Dr. Marcus Foster, superintendent, called a special press conference September 15 to discuss the year's activity. Employing a new concept in teaching, students were used as tutors in the classroom with the hope that they might better relate to their peers. Joining the staff of Skyline's English department was Miss Eloise Keller, who taught for many years at Oakland Technical High School before coming to Skyline. Judy Thielen aids drama classes in promoting the play. FACULTY 21

Books, field trips, movies broaden language classes MVS- Adele Biles MF- Ernest Kalm Mrs. Henrietta Marquez Mrs. Helen Middleton Field trips and French films served as methods towards more interesting classes and the expansion of curriculum. Due to donations from the Parent-Teachers- Association, the department was able to rent French films which helped to increase the awareness and understanding of the French culture. Field trips were planned throughout the entire year. The neccessity for new books was fulfilled. The Spanish classes received new Level l books. Mrs. Adele Biles was the new Language department head.
