i ,A Business classes perform check cashing experiment i As an accounting lesson, Mr. Larry Mattal wanted to show his students that a check could be written on a human chest and still be cashed. Nick Lenhart supplied the chest and the experiment was a success. ln preparation for their convention, the senior members of the Distributive Education Clubs of America held a candle sale. The students of the rest of the group joined their parents to conduct a candy sale. Heading the business education department in the absence of Mrs. Vivian Siegfried was Mrs. Helen Tomigal. Mrs. Siegfried spent the entire year in the Oakland administration building. She will return to Skyline next year. Doreen Jones, Karla Kinyon. Employing a new concept in teaching, students were used as tutors in the classroom with the hope that they might better relate to their peers. Joining the staff of Skyline's English department was Miss Eloise Keller, who taught for many years at Oakland Technical High School before coming to Skyline. Judy Thielen aids drama classes in promoting the play. FACULTY 21
