Time was always found to listen to thestudents problems. Mr. Henry Bianchi became head counselor this year and assumed the responsibilities of coordinating the new Mill system and the Regional Occupation Center . As scholarship chairman, assisted by Mrs. Juanita Thomas, he handled student financial aid. Mrs. Thomas and Mrs. Marjorie Beach headed College and Scholarship Club. Miss Valerie Brenan continued to find jobs for students within the school as lnside Work Experience coordinator and was also the vocational counselor. Mr. Martin Jemo distributed to students information concerning colleges and coordinated f'College Night . Mrs. Faye Smith, a new counselor, became testing chairman. Counselors Marjorie Beach and Juanita Thomas discuss a student's requested program change. Counselors Martin Jemo and Faye,Smith plan the procedure for the November College Night. Counselors Henry Bianchi and Valerie Brenan make plans for Chi-Epsilon KYA Oneders game

David Swanson completed his first hectic year as a principal. He had the nearly impossible task of matching too many students with too few teachers. Mr. Sidney Simonson, 'vice- principal, worked out the Master Program and balanced classes after the initial Mill Day programming. Vice-Principal Wilma Lorentz headed Zonta Club and girls' discipline while Vice-Principal George Benson directed teacher supervision at pre- season and Oakland Athletic League functions, as well as boys' discipline.
