Members of the team worked hard all season under the direction of Sergeant Elliot Curtis of the ROTC department in perfecting their routines. l viii? Teen teachers, sponsored by Miss Helen Baker, assisted inponducting classes for the girls physical education staff. They presented the flag to open the fourth annual Boosters' night program. The teen teachers' meetings were held each week during homeroom. Headed by Coach Tony Fardella, Block S consisted of athletes who earned their block from various competitive athletic events. Members helped in supervising the basketball games throughout the season. Officers were Brad Shuster, president, Gary Hunter, vice president, and Bob Breilh, secretary. Girls' team has hopes for next year Terminating the Oakland Athletic League season, the girls' volleyball team finished with tvvo wins and three losses. Through the coaching of Mrs. Dorothy Gray, the team beat Castlemont and McCIymonds, losing to Oakland, Technical, and Fremont high.
