SENIOR CLASS EDITORIAL . . . This capable aggregation of earnest pursuers of learning, namely the class of 1955, disem- barked at S. H. S.'s worthy portals under the most favorable circumstances. After getting over the first thrill of actually being a part of the hustle and bustle of the high school we settled down to electing our class oflicers. We chose Aristide Bouchard as president, John Hanson vice-president, Patricia Quinn secretary, and Judy Wise treasurer. Rep- resenting us on the student council were Robert Bushey and Joanne Franck. Mr. Thomas was elected our class advisor. The Juniors tendered us a wonderful Sopho- more reception and made us feel welcome and an actual part of the school. We took part in many school activities, being well represented in all school sports and dramatics. Our cheering section included Virginia Gilman and Mary Laney. Many of our classmates went out for the band and chorus. Yes-this had been a great year for us as Sophomoresl We returned our Junior year feel- ing very much at home. As upperclassmen we knew the ropes and it was our turn to welcome the underclassmen. Elections were held and the results were-all male!-Francis Laldratta president, Aristide Bou- chard vice-president, John Hanson secretary, and Robert Bushey treasurer. Representatives to the student council were Judy Wise, Joanne Franck, and Francis La- Pratta. Our class advisor was Miss Reardon. We had fun welcoming a Hne group of Soph- omores at a reception held at the high school gymnasium. This year many of our boys really shone on the gridiron, in basketball, and in winter sports. Our girls racked up numerous points on the basketball team. We were well represented in all the social activities of the school. Three more of our class- mates made varsity cheerleading: Beverly Blais- dell, Charlene Dostie, and Priscilla LeBlanc. Chosen for Girls State were Eldena Fowke, Virginia Gilman, and Glenda-Lou Rowell. For Boys State, Aristide Bouchard. The biggest event of the Junior year is always the Junior Prom and ours was no exception. With stars twinkling overhead and the stage set for a roof garden scene we danced to the dreamy melodies of Oscar Brown and his Night Hawks. Judy Wise and Aristide Bouchard were chosen as Queen and King over the Prom. Their attend- ants were Eldena Fowke and Francis Laliratta. September ,54 found us back at S. H. S. with a new feeling of triumph at having reached the peak. Class officers were: Aristide Bouchard, president, Guy Bolduc, vice-president, Judy Wise, secretary, and Eldena Fowke, treasurer. Robert Bushey, Jolm Hanson, and Everette La- Porte were representatives to the Student Council. Mr. Gordon was chosen our class advisor. This was our big year in football. Two of our greatest players, Francis LaFratta and Guy Bol- duc were chosen as co-captains of the team. Virginia Gilman was elected head cheerleader and Eldena Fowke, head majorette. Reigning as Football King and Queen at the annual football dance were Charlene Dostie and lirancis Lalzratta. The school Teepee Talk was published reg- ularly during the year with Dawn Caouette and Patricia Kelley as co-editors. Eldena Fowke was chosen by popular vote of the senior girls as the D. A. R. candidate. Our LEVER Board was chosen with Dawn Caouette and Eldena Fowke as co-editors, with many others of the class serving on the Board. Thanks to all performers, the Senior play, Annie Get Your Gun , was a big success. - JUDY WISE, Senior Class Editor SENIOR CLASS OFFICERS . . . First Row: E. Fowke, A. Bouchard, G. Bolduc, J. Wise. Second Row: Mr. Gordon, J. Hanson, F. LaFratta, R. Bushey, E. LaPorte. 21
