She experienced the joy of teaching in all situations from a self contained classroom to Supervisor at East Central State at Ada. It was then back to the classroom for her at Tulsa Reading Clinic, Pershing, Mark Twain, Lanier, Hale, and Whitney. Skelly Junior High School opened in l966 and Mrs. i Freeny became Seventh Grade Counselor and Dean of Girls. Her degrees include a Bachelor of Science, a Masters, and 45 post-graduate hours. In her forty-five years of teaching, Mrs. Freeny has progressed from schoolmarm to counselor and throughout all of these years, she has well ful- filled the title of EDUCATOR. She credits her success to her many friends and to her family which has given her its full support.
